What changed
Broadband Breakfast reported on Mar 4, 2026 that Starlink was offering its Residential 100 Mbps plan “for as low as $39 a month for six months”, against a regular $50. Residential 200 Mbps was $69 and Residential Max $109 during the offer. The report puts the total saving on the 100 Mbps plan at $66 over the six months.
The offer ran in the US and several other regions, with exceptions the report lists: New Mexico, West Virginia and high-demand areas such as Seattle, Sacramento and Alaska.
When
Reported Mar 4, 2026; the promotion ended Mar 31, 2026. Its start date wasn’t given, so we date this post to the report. This post is more than 90 days old and is kept as background.
Who is affected
New customers at eligible US addresses in March 2026. Existing customers weren’t eligible.
What it means for you
This is background, kept for owners who were referring people at the time. A friend who signed up during the offer still got the referral’s free month on the second bill, as one month of service on their plan. A referral can’t be added after an order, so anyone who ordered during the promotion without a link can’t claim one now.
The pattern is worth knowing: Starlink cuts prices in areas with spare capacity and leaves busy areas out. A friend in Seattle or Sacramento may see a very different page from a friend in rural Montana.
What to do now
Nothing for this offer. If a friend ordered during the promotion without your link, our already-ordered page explains what’s left to try.
What stays the same
The referral reward, the free month and the rule that a link can’t be added after ordering.
What we don’t know yet
Exactly which addresses qualified; Starlink doesn’t publish promotion maps.
How to check it yourself
Broadband Breakfast’s report of Mar 4, 2026 records the offer and its exclusions. For current offers, the only reliable check is the order page for the exact address. Starlink doesn’t publish a map of promotional areas, and an offer shown to one neighbour may not be shown to another.
